Lead Capture & Follow-Up Automation — How It Works
A self-contained lead triage and follow-up simulator for a fictional service team. It uses transparent qualification rules, not a live AI model.
The business problem
A busy owner can lose track of who needs a fast response, whether a lead is in the service area, and which follow-up is due next.
What this demonstration actually does
- Capture editable fictional leads with service type, urgency, budget, location fit and message
- Score and categorize requests with explainable local rules; show an owner inbox and activity history
- Queue acknowledgment, alert and follow-up message previews with a logical clock, plus reply/pause handling
- Restore four initial examples with a reset. No messages are actually sent
Who it's for
- HVAC and repair teams prioritizing urgent inquiries
- Residential contractors managing quote requests
- Local service businesses comparing response workflows
How to run the demo
- Select Urgent repair from the four scenario tiles. The sample name Avery Sample and details populate the form.
- Click Submit Demo Inquiry. Find the newly created lead in the owner inbox and inspect its score and acknowledgment preview.
- Choose +1 hour or Run next on the logical clock to advance scheduled preview activity.
- Mark the selected lead Replied, or try Pause to see how a schedule changes.
- Click Reset all demo data to return to the initial fictional lead set.
Sample walkthrough
Choose Outside service area (Morgan Fiction), submit it, and inspect its classification. The flow provides a polite preview rather than a sales-chase sequence for a lead outside the service area.
What a business owner gains
A clearer intake queue and a repeatable outline for deciding which prospects need attention and what the next response could say.
How a customized production solution could work
A commissioned implementation could connect an approved website form, CRM and a selected email/text provider—with consent, domain verification, permissions and human oversight. None of those external connections exist here.
Privacy, accuracy and reset behavior
Data is synthetic. State is stored under a versioned browser localStorage key when permitted; reset removes the saved demo state. Message previews are never sent.
Launch or return to the demo and use its reset control as described above.
Common questions and troubleshooting
Is an email sent when I submit?
No. All outbound messages are local previews only.
Why did a request score differently?
The fixed rules use urgency, service fit, budget and area. Try changing an input before submitting.
Why does my inbox still show my lead after refresh?
The demo saves local state in this browser. Use Reset all demo data to start again.
Does the clock reflect actual time?
No. It advances only when you click the demo controls.
